Welcome to Tao Zen Chi Yoga:
Tao Zen Chi Yoga is the style practised and taught by me, Gary W. Abersold. I’ve been practising this form of yoga for most of my adult life and have found it awakening, enlivening and transformative. This way of practising yoga combines complementary insights from several different traditions, including Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. I want to share what I’ve learned and the insights I’ve gained with dedicated, serious students in the Michigan area. All I ask is that you be willing to learn and open to a unique form of yoga. Yoga classes for groups and events like company team building are also available upon request. 

If you live outside of the area, you can still contact me if you’re interested in the kind of lessons I teach. I can offer advice and guidance in how to shape your practice without having to meet you face to face.Whatever you believe, this form of yoga and the classes I teach are flexible and open to everyone who is willing to take it seriously. It isn’t just a form of exercise, but a way of living your life which offers great clarity, increases your opportunities for compassion and self development, and gives you a sense of peace and contentment in your everyday life. You can create harmony in everything you do, and my practice brings elements from meditation and chi healing to teach you how to consciously shape and use that.
